LACK OF GOOD MANNERS !!!
I was brought up to say please and thank you. It seems those words don’t exist anymore and Im not sure who’s to blame?
Could it be that kids in school don’t have to be polite to their teachers anymore? Could it be that parents just don’t have the time to bother and raise their kids well?
Im not sure it has to do with parenting for some reason. I do remember being taught to say please and thank you at home, but I also remember not having to say it ALL the time!!! After all, do we say those 2 words when we’re at home or with family? Maybe not, but we feel we must when we’re outside the home. So why is it that some people just cant say those two words when they’re outside the home and with strangers?
If im asked something by total strangers and they don’t say please, I catch myself saying it for them lol. Some have been giving me the look, others seem truly confused!!!
As for the internet, well Ive noticed that please and thank you doesn’t exist at all. Some total stranger will IM you on your MSN or Yahoo Messenger, not even say hello and ask for your ASL…….no please……then they go on asking for your picture and again……no please!! So why do they get angry when I refuse to give them what they want? Should I be so bold as to tell them that if they would have said please, I would have gladly sent them a nice picture of myself (not a naked one of course lol).
They say you catch more flies with honey and I think its still true.
